convert_soda_xyz_to_native_nebscape¶

soda_analyzer.convert_soda_xyz_to_native_nebscape(input_path, output_path=None, index=':', overwrite=False, strict=True)¶

Convert SODA XYZ fixed/mobile tags to the native NEBScape convention.

Parameters:

input_path (str or pathlib.Path) – Source file to read.
output_path (str or pathlib.Path, optional) – Destination file. When optional and omitted, derive a filename beside the input using the conversion suffix. Default: None.
index (int or str or slice, optional) – ASE image selector; -1 selects the last image and ":" selects all images. Default: ':'.
overwrite (bool, optional) – Allow replacement of existing destination files. Default: False.
strict (bool, optional) – Reject unsupported or inconsistent input rather than accepting a partial conversion. Default: True.

Returns:

pathlib.Path – Written Extended XYZ path; existing destinations require overwrite=True.
